What 2m and 3m can make

2m fits half-obi, tsuke-eri collars, pouches, doll garments and small tapestries. 3m fits nine-inch nagoya obi, haori, large totes and full-size tapestries.

Pre-wash guide

Cotton: machine-wash cold, single load on first wash. Polyester: cold rinse. Silk: dry-clean only.

Cutting on the bias for obi

Bias-cut gives the obi face a softer fall. Mark the bias line with chalk; allow 1cm seam allowance.

Care after sewing

Iron on the reverse to preserve gold thread (kinran). Store flat or rolled.
