Definition
Kimono fabric (kimono-ji) is the textile traditionally used to make Japan's national garment. Today it is widely used in obi, accessories, and home-decor crafts. Fujiba's pre-cut panels are 110cm wide for general home-sewing compatibility.
Common materials
Cotton (washable, beginner-friendly), polyester (colour-stable, affordable), and pure silk (drapes beautifully, dry-clean only).
Pattern families
Sakura (cherry blossom), asanoha (hemp leaf), seigaiha (waves), ichimatsu (checker), kinran (gold brocade) and seasonal florals.
Where pre-cut helps
A traditional bolt is around 12 metres. Most home projects need 2m or 3m. Pre-cut means no leftover, no yardage maths, and predictable shipping cost.
